Has anyone else know a male with Lupus?

My father passed away from complications due to Lupus just over a year ago. I am not sure that he received the best care, because I do not believe that the doctors in our area had enough experience to treat him. They were the only option.
They were not even readily accepting of the fact that he had Lupus, and we were told that this desease happened in women, and that it was not hereditary. Both of these we have found to be incorrect.
It is sad that we do not have much information regarding men and Lupus. I was wondering if anyone else had this experience with their father, or as a male.

I am a male lupus patient from Malaysia.I have been diagnosed with the disease almost 3 years ago and frankly, I have never heard of such term. Life has been quite tough on me ever since I have lupus. Changes happens, be it physically, mentally and spiritually.There is so much I want to tell you that I think its best if we start off with questions from you and I'll try to answer it the best I can.
