I know it is probably the same but many people only buy name brands! Do you buy store brand vs. brand name items. I usually go with the cheapest but sometimes I splurge and buy the brand names. If you buy name brands do you use coupons?

Sometimes I buy name brand, sometimes I buy the off brand because I know it's just as good and does cost me a lot less than the name brand. Sometimes, there is not much of a difference between the name brand and the off brand, so I'll just buy name brand because I prefer the name brand of that certain product. I hate the off brands of some items, they definitely aren't as good as the original brand.

I used to only want store brand foods before I got married, but trust me, I changed my opinion real quick. ha ha. I have now found several store brand ttypes of food that I like better than the name brands, especially in macaroni. I see now that they are basically the same thing. Don't get me wrong...there are still foods that I'm a name brand snob for.:P

Actually I pic and choose. Some people seem to automatically assume that the store brands are cheaper because they are made with less quaility. This is not always the case. I found out that sometimes if you look at the prices in stead of just automatically picking up the store brand, if your on a tight bugdet like me. That sometimes, the store brand is the one that costs more. It also seems more so when the Assistance Checks are out. People with a fix income usually buy all store brands, I know my mother did it for years. Though like I said you got to watch because sometimes the store brand is like .99 cents but the name brand is ,79 cents. Though when it comes to ketchup, I only buy Hienz.
