I usually like to take part in festival celebration than watching. There's one festival which is celebrated at the time of harvest. farmers bring all types of crops harvested at the season, they set bondfire and there is a long processing, people carry the king and queen in a stretcher in the processing after which the new crops are cook and there is a rash for it. just to make it interesting and this signifies blessings to the coming season. How do you celebrate your festivals? share you yours.

In my country the Philippines specifically in Davao City, we celebrate a festival of fruits called Kadayawan sa Davao. People in the Davao provinces co-celebrate it. It showcases the best produce of the land mostly fruits. There is a parade of fruits in the city together with events like indak-indak sa kadalanan (street dancing), beauty pageants in local or native costume and sports league. We celebrate it during the month of august but the abundance of fruits last till october or sometimes even november. Fruits like durian, mangoosteen, lanzones many others can be bought at a very low price. In the last two weeks I really had my fill of these fruits.
