how to improve my listening ability?

Recently,my English oral teacher often talks about the country Singapore,but I know little about it from its speaking,so who can tell me how to improve my listening ability?

My advice is avoid being sleepy and concentrate to whatever your teacher says. At home, practice your listening skills by listening to the TV/radio news reports or by watching English movies.

there are no fast ways to improve your ability quickly. you have to be listening and listening.
first, you can choose some easy article to listen, and you can write down the words when you listen. it is helpful for improving your listening.
then , choose your favorite topics to listen. then you dont' feel boring to listen to them.
i often listen to some articles before i go to bed, it is easier to know the meaning of the articles.
