I have a 4 year old son. I want to have a girl but as what a study done in US, it costs approximately $250K to raise a kid until the age of 17 plus another $100K for college. I don't think we'd be able to afford one.

Yeah. With our economic situation right now, I think we should focus more on our childrens education.

I am a son of parents who have 5 kids. They seem to have a little difficulties now and then specially in times like this. I on the other hand would like 2 when I get the opportunity. I guess most of the time, my parents didn't seem to have everything planned out but believe me they have done what a parent can be expected to give the best they could. I guess it is about taking it a step at a time. If you are a mom, I hope you can find a way to enjoy it. I love my mom and thats what moves me to help out. 8-)

I totally agree with you jatamogue. Even though our parents experiencing some difficulties, they will really do their best just to give the necessities for their children.

I have four children. I have a son who will be 10 next week, an 8 year old son, a 6 year old daughter and another daughter who is 16 months. I would love to have had a little boy with my husband (I remarried), but obviously there is no guarentee. Plus, he has children from a prior marriage as well so we decided to stop at one. He made sure of that permenantly at the doctors office soon after our daughter was born.

Hi moneyandgc! I agree, for my own opinion I guess family planning is important so that we can give the for our children. =)
