Some people says Phil Jakcson found ready made dynasties when he walked into Bulls with Pippen-Jordan or Lakers with Shaq-Kobe, unlike really great coach who create his team from scratch such as Red Auerbach

He definitely deserves that spot as a hall of famer. 9 rings, even with great teams, is extremely difficult to accomplish. He might not have actually built the team from scratch, but he did have a huge influence in the players on the team and trades. Before phil came along, Jordan didnt have any championships, and Shaq didnt have any either. It was Phil who transformed these teams from good teams to great teams.

In my opinion he is a great coach. It may be true that when he walked into as a coach team in Chicago bulls there were already the best players in NBA history but its tough to control such players as well. Only great coach can handle great players. To handle such great players you require attitude and respect. You have to give them game plans that works and you have to give constant ideas to players which is difficult. So I think that he is a great coach.

I firmly believe that Phil Jackson deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.. Even though some people say that he just found ready made dynasties, he is just really at the perfect place and at the perfect time. He is an excellent coach and he's just blessed to have coached great basketball players such as Michael Jordan (arguably the greatest of all-time) , Scottie Pippen, Kobe ( 81_) and Shaq (the most dominant center of his time).. I think it needs skills to coach a championship team which Phil Jackson has. He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame and I think that he already is one.

I believe he deserves it. I think there are many coaches out there that come across good teams, and can't do nothing with the talent they have. I feel Phil has made the best of already talented players, and he knows how to win. I think Phil really only has Kobe as a star, and if they had another coach, the Lakers would not have even made it to the playoffs. The West is strong.

Would you discredit Red Auberich because he knew how to evaluate talent and accumulated a bunch of savy players to create a dynasty out of the Celtics? Would you discredit the hard nose coaching of Pat Riley because he had Magic and Kareem? Honestly, one cannot say that Jackson did not have a easily noted advantage with the mentioned fab. players. Yet also you cannot deny that he kept the ship afloat and help those teams gain championships. Its not like it was always easy or without its dilemas. Heck at one point Jordan asked to be traded... not only that he left for one season and phil still got the bulls to the playoffs without their main guy M.J. Also, another problem with the bulls was keeping Rodman in line... which he did well.. Then its not a given that these great player will be surrounded by role players that will allow them to win the O'brian trophy. With the lakers not only did PhilJax have to deal with a headstrong front office, but also the need to recrute a proper supporting cast despite the major salaries of Kobe and Shaq. Then he also had to deal with the feuding of Bryant and Oneal. I think Phil Jax was always able to stear good talent into the finish line. Others have had good set of players like Jerry Sloan with Stocktin and Malone. But as we know even if thats one of the best duo combo of their generation.. they still did not win any championships. So by all this.. what I mean to say.. is that yes.. I feel that Phil deserves to be a haller famer...

Phil Jackson deserves a Hall of Fame. A championship is still a championship, and he has already tied with Red Auerbach with the most number of championships. Even if you put in a lot of good players in a team, if a good coach does not run it, still it won't be successful in the long run.

Of course he deserves it. He manages to keep his great players running well with each other and everyone doing his own parts for the team. He is the greatest master of the art of dealing with players.
