does anyone know what BP stands for?

In the following link from the BBC detailing the tables of the current rugby world cup there is a BP column with, in Group A, South Africa having 1 BP and thus 5 points. i can't figure out what this means....can anyone explain? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport/hi/rugby_union/tables/default.stm cheers

Well the BP is bonus point only. But, I am not sure about the criteria to award a bonus point in this new cricket format i.e. Twenty20

Sorry I just thought you were talking about the twenty20 world cup. Anyways BP is always the bonus point.

Omg, l didnt know about BP until today when I browsed through the responses to this post-now I know it Bonus points-thanks for starting this discussion jodenton

First of all, the link you posted does not work. By browsing on other sites I find out that BP means "bonus points". I believe that these points are awarded when a team score a great amount of points in a game, or when they win by a certain score difference.
