Hello laurla98, Yes it bothers me when I try to ask someone something and they don't answer when their in front of the tv. I rarely ask for something and I understand that sometimes they really are so in the show their watching. So when I do ask I usually time it on the commercial breaks. :-)

It bothers when I am ignored while I am asking for something. But this mood won't last long, just a little while. I will still do it by myself without bothering them to help me.

I went through that the entire time I lived with my dad, even beginning when I was a child. He would watch the same movies over and over later at night when he got home, and I'd have to shout to get him to answer. And believe me, I didn't dare shout too many times. : ) If I go to my parent's house on Saturday night, I'll usually find him watching another action movie he's see a million times, and he will completely ignore me. He says he just can't hear me with the TV on. I know his hearing isn't great, but c'mon... How many time can a person watch Road House or Shawshank Redemption on cable?

You must know my husband! He could be watching the weather channel (and does) and be in total oblivion when I talk to him. I understand if he is watching sports or is deeply into a show but weather? Or something he saw 100 times before?
I mean, hello, I am real. That is TV. lol.
I do get annoyed and then I repeat myself louder and he gets mad because he thinks I am yelling at him and I never do get an answer. Now I say his name straight up and wait for a response and I ask if what is he watching is important and if he says no, I say I have to ask you something or tell you something. But spontaneous talk is nearly impossible.
Ahh well, usually what I say isn't too important anyway...
