Did you know when i am writing my messages at my lot i have a cursed painting named "boy that cries" at my left looking at me! It is said that when this painting is burnt or trown away it lifts a curse that will burn the house where it was before. The author of the painting was a satanic that painted others kids crying! Pretty spooky, no?

Wow, that is an interesting story! Me being the strange person that I am, I would almost want to own one of those, just because it's neat. =P I have owned a couple of items that refused to leave me before. I never had my house burn down because of them, but no matter how many times they were thrown away or destroyed, they wound wind up back along my belongings. One of them was a necklace I bought at an antique shop. I was a kid at the time, and the town where I lived was full of antique shops, and I loved going into them and browsing. One of the owners had a necklace in her display case that had been there for as long as I could remember, and when I asked her about it, she told me that she had never been able to sell it, no matter what she priced it at. The pendant was in the shape of a bird of some type, and embedded with turquoise, and she said she heard the man who made it had started to make it for his wife, who left him before he finished it. So all of his anger at her betrayal was in that necklace, and even though no one knew the story, no one would buy it. So me being the weirdo I am, I had to have the thing. Just had to. She practically gave it to me, I think I paid less than $5 for it. I wore it once and felt angry at everyone all day long, and decided I didn't want it after all. Over the next few months I buried it, smashed it with a hammer, left it on the train tracks, threw it in a lake... and it always wound up back in my jewelry box. I finally wound up sealing it in a box made of onyx (which is good for soaking up or containing negative energies) and burying it again, and that time it didn't come back. I always wonder if someday someone will dig it up accidentally. What can I say? I guess I'm too curious. I'm kind of attracted to cursed items, haunted places, all that sort of thing. =P

woah, that IS neat!!! I wonder if i can find a necklace like that!! But a question i would have is, since it (the necklace) refused to leave you, how did it leave the old woman and the shop that was selling it? Shouldn't it have, like, dissappeared from your place and appeared back at the shop? How 'bout telling me where you hid it as well? might be fun to search for it when i'm older :P

I have heard of this before, but it was not a painting. It is said that if you burn wijia (sp) boards that the home they were brought to first will burn no matter where they are burnt. My friend had a board, and threw it away. The next morning it was on her doorstep still in the box and everything. We knew it was the same one because we marked it to make sure. So the next night I told her we were going to burn it. She said no because the house that she lived in when she bought it would burn.. I was a little skeptical, so we checked on the house and it was abandoned, and ratty. So we burnt the board. That night we heard sirens headed out that way, and I'll be a son of a b*tch if that f@&%ing house did not burn that very night. Now whether it was the board or some idiot we were friends with playing tricks no one will ever know, I am just glad that no one was hurt. The fire report said there was no trace of arson.

I've heard a lot of those stories about Ouija boards, but many of the ones I've seen were cheap crappy ones that didn't really seem to have any power inherently in them. My husband and I however have both owned older ones that we had problems getting rid of. I would actually like to own one now because I think they can be a valid spiritual tool, but my husband is too nervous about it to have one in the house. =P If I owned the "cursed painting" I think I would rather keep it than take the risk as well. Since there have been many of them and it is well-known what happens if you remove one, it's obviously too risky to get rid of it!

I only found a notice in portuguese but i could explain the rest: In the 80's lot of people bought paintings of kids crying and for some reason when they ditched the paintings their house would burn and in the debress the fireman always find the painting intact (the one ditched) and in the united kindgom they made a celtic fire ritual with bones to try lift the curse. But the horrifying part it is that they are not sure if they burnt the original painting nad only then the curse is lifted. The photo is in my profile photos. Thank you for the attention!

Thanks for info!! I Love stories, especcially stories of the supernatural, fantasy or horror stories. Some people like collecting weird and scary things or simply things that are rumoured to have something to do with the supernatural but i prefer collecting the stories behind the items, places and people!! They last longer!
