whehn should we intriduce our child to internet

My daughte is only 5 and is very Computer Savy. I do allow her to do things on the internet but I get her to the websites that I trust and she enjoys. She doesnt leave the sites that I approve of, we have made desktop icons for all of her favorite sites so that she can go between them. however I would use better methods of keeping her safe once she gets older like setting her account to child so only kid friendly sites could be veiwed as well as use a web record program that would log all that was done while she was on the computer. But when they get to the teen stages I think that the best protection is to talk to them because you have to remember your home computer isnt the only computer in the world. They could go to librarys friends houses and plenty of other internet ready places to use the computer and so teaching them the possible harm and how to spot it nad how to handle it would be the best thing. Computers are a major part of life and jobs these days so letting them get used to using them at a young age is only going to help them in the future.

i think we can introduce children to internet when they are 10 years old, but the parents should guide them. and i think 15 years old is enough to surf online by themselves. but don't let them spend over 2 hours online for fun, and if they study online, then it is necessary to plan the time. remeber the internet is just a tool for them, not the only important thing for students. you know there are lots of younger crimes because they are addicted to internet games.
