Cat Attack?

Patches seems to have this thing about her cat Mom and I'm not sure what to do about it. Bright Eyes, her biological Mom, will be quietly laying down somewhere in the room not bothering a soul and Patches will be on the opposite side of the room and suddenly will run over to Bright Eyes and attack her. She did it last night and she does it completely unprovoked. I don't understand why she does it but I'd love to break her of that habit. Any ideas?
