This happens to me a lot and it ticks me off. I write product reviews on Epinions.com and have often hit the "back" button instead of "file, copy" when copying my review into Word so I don't lose it, which of course dumps the whole thing in cyberspace. It makes me want to scream! A lot of people say they write in Notepad or Word, but for some reason I just can't get into a "zone" when I try to write that way, so I just have to be careful. Sometimes the site will burp when you submit something and it will lose your review, as well, which is why I started copying it and pasteing it into Word or an email so I would at least have it if the site burped, but when I accidently hit the back button the first time I did it I wanted to scream! Now I copy and paste about every other paragraph so I don't lose the whole thing. lol :)

My profile page is www.epinions.com/user-lisado It's a site that pays you to write product reviews. Kind of like Mylot, though, how they figure how much you make is a secret. They only update your account once a month, generally around the 15th. It can be a slow earner, though, especially if you aren't active. I've been there a long time, though, and really love to write. I like to give my opinion on products and services that I use, and I also love using the site before I decide to buy something, especially bigger ticket items or before ordering from a website online that I've never used before. I like to see what other people have to say about the site before I use it. You won't get rich there, that's for sure, but there are a lot of nice people there and it's a good place to use for advice or to give your own about products you use.

I've kind of done that. I've accidentally exited a program I was writing a paper in, without saving the work first. I was so aggravated!

i think this happens to the best of us...that is why it is so prudent to press the save button about every five minutes (so the computer experts say anyways) but i agree with you, its such a pain!!

This happens to me all the time ( I usually just end up giving up on re-writing whatever I deleted, no matter what I do it never has the same feeeling as the first time I wrote it. Since losing alot of stuff while writing it, I've become an OBSESSIVE saver. I save my writing after every few sentances, rofl. On myLot or any other message board I usually c + p whatever I've written into notepad and save ther file so I can get it later. I only do it if it's really important, though.
