Thanks for posting! I don't know if you get credited for your post or not because it's too short. Anyway, there are no BDO ATMs and banks inside Ayala malls that's why I don't prefer opening an ATM account at BDO. I love to shop at Ayala malls that's why I chose BPI not only Ayala owns BPI but also they can be seen everywhere.

Hi jaytrix. as a financial planner, just want to ask first, whats your purpose for opening? for long term or short term savings? For short term savings, I suggest: 1. BPI - you can withdraw your money everywhere. You can see their atm machine almsot everywhere in the metro. 2. BDO - they closes 6pm. 3. Philam AIG Bank - you dont have to wait in lines. :D and they closes 5pm. For long term savings, I suggest: 1. AIG Money Tree - you can earn as much as 72% for th Equity Funds. *if you are asking for the interest rate per annum of atms, all banks are all the same: 1%-3% only. subject to tax pa yon. :D

Thanks for a very descriptive post! I have decided to open an ATM account at BPI because like you said, they are located anywhere unlike in other banks like BDO wherein they're just located mostly in SM malls. You don't see their ATMs in Ayala malls like Trinoma.

For me, the best bank is Banco de Oro because they are almost everywhere. Their online banking is also good. I use this to pay for my monthly phone and credit card bills. Another good thing about Banco de Oro is they are open during weekends at SM Malls. You can open an account with them for as low as Php 2,000.00 but they are very strict on requirements. You could also withdraw a maximum of Php 50,000.00 from their ATM machines. Banco de Oro also offers rewards point for every transaction you make like deposit and bills payment.

Hello For starter I can recommend BDO bank. Opening account is less than 5K pesos. Bank is open 7 days a week except for holidays, and banking time is much longer. Most of all you can withdraw anywhere while shopping at SM :)

Thanks for posting! What I don't like about BDO is that their ATMs are not found in any Ayala malls like Trinoma. You should withdraw from other banks which costs you 9 pesos or more.

If you are planning on putting you ATM on paypal or alertpay, Unionbank eon card is compatible. It has 350php minimum balance and you will have no problem in incorporating paypal and alertpay. BDO doesn't accept paypal right away. You need to ask their customer service first. They require you 2000php for bankbook or ATM and 5000php for both. I am planning to open an account at BPI for remittance purposes and found out that they requires you only 500php for minimum balance so it is not bad :D
