importing a graphic in flash

i hope there some experts here to help me out, i would like to make a nice graphic and import it in flash without the graphic looking all messed up and pixalized..what are the things i should think about importing a graphic in flash

well, i can help you... i teach flash at a University...you can work on ur graphics first in photoshop (blur it, apply filter, tweak the contrast, etc) and just save it as .gif (be sure to delete the background layer first) then open ur flash, file, import... to ur stage or library... or u can simply create ur own...either in photoshop or in flash..does't matter... have fun!

What do you mean with pixelized? If you import pixelbased images they will be pixelbased images in Flash. If you import vector images they will become vectorised in Flash. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_graphics http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raster_graphics You can vectorize simple bitmaps in flash http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/bitmap_to_vector.htm

ok i go see the links thanks so much, what i meant was ( sorry im dutch, my gramar is not always that great), i meant to say that sometimes i make a great looking graphic in photoshop but then when i import the graphic in my flash program you see the graphic with all squares...ugly looking, i guess i have to check out the links from you and just go study more
