...When children are involved with a marriage going through divorce, how does your state or country advocate for them? ...In Michigan, we have Friend Of The Court (FOC). They evaluate who is best able to provide for children, who is primary care giver and what kind of legal & physical custody parents may get. Physical custody pertains to who gets the kids. Legal custody is usually joint and has to do with medical decisions to be made, as I understand it. ...What are the pros and cons of your program? Do you like how it works? What would you like to see different? ...Thanks for sharing and peace be with you. =(^;^)= Della

I am from China,I am only a student. But I can say something just I know-most chinese family only have one child. If they get divorce, the court will ask the child he/she want live with his/her dad or mum.If both of the parents want their child, lady first-but the court also care about who can take care of the child.

...Thank you, xuejie! It is a good thing to be a student. There is plenty of time for children in your life. May you never have to go through the courts for a divorce. ...Thank you for sharing. Peace be with you. =(^;^)= Della

I am from California and I have never gone through a divorce so I cannot tell you. I am under the impression they do nothing unless the parents are fighting for cousty. I maybe wrong.
