do you believe that a good teacher should avoid irrelevant matters?

me i dont believe in it because teachers have different way or methods of teaching and whether he or she include some irrelevant matters or not for sure everything they done is for our own good, and some include irrelevant matters for us to become interactive to the lessons they give to us.

I think that sometimes you have to talk about things that arent really relevant to what your teaching even if it is related. Kids like to know stupid little facts like who strangled who and why they did even if it isnt really touching on what your teaching them. I think sometimes its those little afterthoughts that stick with us most when we learn and goodness knows, kids are full of questions so throwing things in here and there will get their little minds ticking that much more.
