Do you or have you or would you pick up a hitch hiker?

No I have never hitchhiked or picked up a hitchhiker and never would. Maybe it was safe 50 years ago but people are just too crazy and mean no-a-days that you just don't know what a person might do. Looks can be deceiving. You can't really tell who is crazy or what they might do just by looking at someone. They may try to play straight and look clean cut to make you think they are harmless but you never know.

I did a couple of times years ago but today no way, it is a strange world today with strange people doing strang things that makes dangerous even stopping to help people as you never know if it is just a ploy...

Never! I wouldn't even consider it. I used to ages ago when life was simple or so I thought but now, no way. I rarely see hitchhikers because they are as scared as we are of something terrible happening to them I think. I live in a fairly large suburb of Upstate, NY. I may be more inclined to pick up people if I lived in a little town but ehhh.... I feel for people who don't have a ride and all but they are not getting in my car and possibly robbing or raping me. I shake my head and sort of do a sorry face at them because I kind of am sorry. But my family and I come first and I can't have a stranger n my car anymore than I would let some stranger into my house.
