The 29th Olympic Games will be held in Beijing 2008. I'm living in Beijing now. Here the Olympic things is everywhere. I hope many many people will visit China in 2008. Have you ever been to china before? What do you know about china? Are you interesting in Beijing? What do you think of Beijing. I like Beijing very much. I treat it as my second hometown.

Wow, based on your description of Beijing alone, I could really just imagine how visually great a place it truly is. The Olympic fever must really be reaching epic proportions now more than ever that when a thermometer would be used to check Beijing's temperature, it would perhaps easily reach the heavens. To be sure, the Chinese government in general, and the Beijing residents in particular may perhaps be in full force these days, actively and busily preparing their whole place for the highly anticipated 2008 Olympics there. It is perhaps a reasonable bet, too, that Beijing is gradually being populated by tourists coming from different parts of the globe to bare witness to the one of the best sport spectacles on planet Earth. Obviously, the 2008 Beijing Olympics would rake in a lot of money for the Chinese government, which could naturally bolster China's already booming economy. It could also be a good guess that security measures and safety mechanisms are being carefully put in place by the Olympic organizers precisely to deter, thwart, or foil any deviously dangerous attempts to wreak havoc come the actual Olympic games. In response to your question as to whether I have had the rare opportunity of visiting China, though, I must openly admit that, unlike you, I haven't been lucky enough to set foot on it yet. Nevertheless, I know several things about China such as its pride in the NBA--Yao Ming; the Great Wall of China; the Yin Yang; great Table Tennis players like Ma Lin, Wang Nan, Wang Liqin, and many more; their popular Martial Arts legends--Jet Li, Jackie Chan, and the deceased Bruce Lee; and lovely Chinese celebrities, of course, like Zhang Ziyi, Coco Lee, and Michelle Yeoh, among other interesting Chinese personalities, things, places, and events. As to your question on whether I find Beijing interesting, on the other hand, to be completely honest and truly prudent, without having actually been to Beijing yet, I could only say that perhaps I would. That being said, though, I could still surmise that it is perhaps really interesting, given that it was chosen to host the 2008 Beijing Olympics, especially since, to my mind, if it weren't in the slightest bit interesting, it would probably not have been selected as the host of the upcoming Olympics. Ultimately, I could really simply wish that I could finally visit Beijing and fully check out the amazingly great sites in the great land of China very soon.

Thank you for your response. It seems like that among the people who never have been to China you know much more about Beijing and China than others. I was surprised that you know so many Chinese sport stars and movie stars. It implies that you like sports and you have seen a lot of Chinese films. I like Chinese films very much, maybe i can recommend some to you.Do you know Ang Lee, the director of Brokeback Mountian? Before he works for Hollywood, he had directed a lot of chinese movies. I like his style. Although Beijing is the most attractive city of china, there are many places deserved to be visited, such as Xiangxi,Zhangjiajie,Lijiang, Shangrila, Harbin etc. There you will see another China. I wish you when you visit China, you will enjoy your trip and have a good time.

I have never been in China. I used to live in Vancouver and we have a great Chinese population here, mostly from Hong Kong and the Canton province. We do get a few movies that were made in China and they are much better than the ones they used to make. As for seeing Beijiung, I do not think I will be able to. We are on a budget and if we go anywhere, we plan to go to Europe and the Caribbean first. And not being a sports fan, my husband will be watching the Olympics but not me.
