I'm a Journalism student doing a survey about the removal of Baywalk. Do you agree with Mayor Lim's decision and why? Do you know people who are extremely happy or sad about it? Do you know people who lost their jobs because of this "Baywalk massacre"?? Thanks. :)

i agree and disagree at different points. I used to go there alone just to watch performances (well its free) but now the place is somewhat deserted.

Right now i havent been at baywalk but for my opinion many teens and yuppies will be sad on removing it and amn people lost their jobs. But mayor lim has valid reason son doing so, theres a proper place for that kind of thing.

I think politics is the major reason. The former mayor is of course no longer there and as has been done since Cory, as much as possible, all the memories of the former shall be blot out and that happened from the President down to the barangay level. There are advantages and disadvantages. I think Lito Atienza did not decide alone. It's already there and I think many good things could be done for the benefit of many without such a "massacre" as you said. The present Mayor should work for the regulation of what is happening there and not demolishing and destroying much that was spent.

I think they have thier points, putting some establishments there means jobs for our fellowmen. But I understand that it has to be preserved because it's a scenery, people used to boast of the sunset there and even motorists can see them before. I just hope whatever they think is best is reallt the best for people and for our country. We used to bring foreign friends there too..and now..oh well we can still bring them there I guess.
