Canadian dollar is now on par with US dollar.

Wow...this is good and bad news for me. I can now go to the US on vacation, and it won't cost me as much, but, I work for a US company in Canada, and when they realize it's costing them just as money to do business here, they will go to more 3rd world countries. SO, who knows....does the Canadian dollar rise have any affect on you?

I think the rise of the dollar effects everyone...with higher interest rates and so on. Many American owned company's in Canada will be effected because they won't be manking as much profit so..here come the cut-backs and lay-offs, which will effect many a household in Canada, espeacially the Forestry Industry, which is already on Very Shaky ground.
