Now...I know that smoking is bad for our health and I really would like to quit sometime in the near future but as for now, I'm addicted. I am really ticked off right now and don't know if we'll be able to do anything about it but... On August 1st of this year the US House of Representatives by a vote of 225-204 passed H.R. 3162 which included a $4.50 per carton federal cigarette tax increase and it gets worse! Supposedly this won't go into effect until the first of the year; we still have time to voice our outrage over the situation. Here's the url where we smokers can take some sort of action, at least. We need to let them know that we're opposed to increasing the FET by as much as 156%. http://stopthefetincrease.com/ What do my fellow smokers think about this outrage?
