What makes you want to add someone here on mylot? Was it a discussion they had started? Did you see you had a lot of similar interests? Do you add people that are friends with your friends?

Those Mylotters of have friendly pictures, and those people who have similar interest with me, basically people who live in the same country with me :). And those mylotters who share some very nice advice.

Agreed, those are good reasons to request a friend. Do you accept all that ask to be your friend?

Hi gradyslady, I usually request someone who has not only the same interest, but the same ideas too, that way I can usually reply to most of their discussion and they can do the same. As for those who request me, I will accept all of them, but if they get too conflicting, I would delete them. So far I have not deleted anyone yet. :)

I do the same. I do look for lots of people to add, but some people I look at they've been on here for months and they have only a few friends, that's what made me start this discussion. Thanks for responding. Have a great day.

I hope this doesn't sound bad, but I never request anyone to be my friend....I get a ton of friend requests all the time, and I usually just accept them all. I really shouldn't but to me it's not that big of a deal.

Why shouldn't you accept? I do all the time, the more friends the better.

Some requests that I add them to my list of friends and approve all. Some friends in my list though I have requested because I feel that I am very interested in what they write about, or somehow I think we do have some things in common, or that a member has a lot of interest that may give a lot of inputs and I may learn some things from them. Whatever the reason, I would gladly have them in my list of friends. Though, of course I wouldn't want a spammer/scammer in mine.

Hi there buddy, what's been up to lately? Well, i can say that it's both, but mostly i add people because of their discussions or because i saw their responses and i find it so good or interesting. I also add people here if i saw their pics and find them cute girls. Hehehe Have a nice day ahead and happy posting and earning here in myLot. Ciao, Kiko

i always like to have more friends and i look at it this way, it's better to have more friends than have no friends at all. i think it's nice to gain more friends so you'll learn and know more about people. I usually add a friend which i find in one of my discussions so i won't go anywhere anymore to just look for a member here to b my friend and if someone likes to add me as a friend i give them a chance since there is no harm on it. I don't discriminate anyone by interest, age, race, and religion. If someone want to b my friend then i'll gladly accept them. It's like when you want someone to open a door for you then you should also open a door to someone. God bless you gradyslady. :) it's nice being one of your friend.

That's what I mostly consider when adding a friend, having similar interests. Most of the times, I also add those from the same country I am from, so we can discuss topics of our concern too. I add them to learn from them, share and exchange informations that would somehow help me in understanding things better..

If someone asks me to be their friend, I will add them. I do not add friends if someone asks me to add that person to be my friend. They have to make the request themselves. Once in a while, if someone writes an interesting subject, I will check their profile, go through their posts, and request that they want me to be their friend. In that case, similar interests, but also similar backgrounds, coming from the same part of Canada that I live in, or having an interesting way of expressing themselves in the case of the States or other countries does count.

I would like to add someone who responses to my discussions. Also when I choose to respond to a discussion, I will send invitation as well. Also when someone adds me, I always accept and turn notify on so that I can receive notifications from my email and respond to the discussions that I can relate to. If I cannot relate to and if I am still interested, I would ask for the meaning of it politely and they always tell me the answer. I am happy for that. I love to have many friends for different discussions to respond to.
