I am upset..I hurt my pitbull on accident!

I am so upset and I don't know what to do. Today I took my pitbull for a walk and another dog ran up on her and was trying to bite her.
I was pulling on her choker chain trying to get her away from this dog and she was choking herself trying to get to the dog.
After the other dog's owner came out and got his dog, I walked my dog home, and ever since, her eyes have been extremely red and they are crossed!!!! She keeps them either squinted or closed like it hurts her to open them. I am not sure what happend to her...could this be from her being choked from her leash? I will be so upset if something is wrong with her, she is my baby.

I couldn't say what might be wrong with her but it sounds like it may have been a result of the choking. If she doesn't return to normal very soon I would call a vet and have her examined. And get rid of the choker chain, PLEASE! They are only to be used for training purposes, not as a general use collar. If you need more control over her, try a head halter or harness instead.

Thanks, I will do that. I was actually in Petsmart looking at harnesses earlier...thanks.
