Is it just me or does the holiday start too fast in the stores?

I love the holidays, don't get me wrong- people seem nicer during this time of the year. But it seems that in October I'm seeing decorations and sales for Christmas. What about Thanksgiving?? Does anyone else think the same?

They already have Halloween candy out at the grocery stores here. I don't know about anyone else, but if I bought a bag of Halloween candy now, it would all be gone within a week or two, long before Halloween. I don't think that Thanksgiving really gets overly commercialized, but Christmas is pretty ridiculous. I don't mind seeing Christmas stuff at the craft store already, but at normal retail stores, it's a bit early!

I've decided not to buy Halloween cookies until the month of October- the same with Christmas baking.

yes i would have to agree with you. i started spotting back to school stuff when the kids were just barely out of school (perhaps the first week of summer vacation!) halloween stuff as well as thanksgiving came out the minute kids were back in school (ours is in October), but i havent seen too much christmas stuff, but give them a week or two!!
