Why does company need hires Pleasing Personality... I guess...

Its something stupid If we think about why companies really want pleasing personality, how about a dull one? Don't they have a chance to get in though they are smart. I have a friend telling me that work on companies will be learned but for me its nice if my workers are thinkers rather than that. What do you think?
