A teacher is to teach students and build their knowledge. However, when one students is very naughty who likes to argue and even make the teacher furious. The teacher starts to cane the student. The student went back and told his/her parents, they went to the school to complain that their child is just being naughty, shouldn't deserve to be caned. I am talking about students who are at age 13-18, do you think if students provoke furious teachers, does the school or the teacher have the right to punish him by canning or other means.

In most countries... corporal punishment is no longer allowed... i believe that teachers do not have the right to punish naughty student with corporal punishment... there are other ways and means on how to discipline students who did something wrong... This kind of punishment was used a long long time ago and it was proven not effective and is traumatic on the part of students...

So what are your suggestions to punish naughty students? If you are going to say just scold them, I believe that won't work. Maybe reasoning will work, what do you think? Nowadays, I say students live a more pampered life than me. Whatever they wish for, their wishes come true.

Well, the punishment that work for most students that i had before was that... i let them stand outside the classroom... i will not let them in unless they tell their parents to come and see me in school... i won't call the parents... it will be their responsibility to inform them that they need to talk to me... even if it takes a week or two... they will eventually get tired of standing outside... so, they will tell their parents... Another is to be firm and if you say it... you must do it... that is why i was so carefull on what i promise to do... or on the punishment that i said will give them...

for me.. it is better to be loved than be feared. teachers may be second parents to our children but i dont believe that he or she has the right to inflict any physical or emotional pain to children on their care.

Here the job of the teacher is not too respectfull and well-payed. Our teachers often demonstrate against their poor salaries. But actually most of them are not so skilled and well-educated.
