Dancing with the stars: The women performed....

So last night the women performed. I think they all did very well and was really surprised at some of the performances. Jane and Marie did really good and better than I thought they would knowing how much older they are over all the other women. Sabrina Bryan was a big surprise. She really kicked it up a notch and seemed like it came a little too natural for her. Now I know she has previous dance experience from being a Cheetah girl, but yet she still seemed like she was a natural at ballroom. But I would have to agree with the judges that the hip hop stuff needs to be left out. This is a ballroom competion not hip hop. I was also quite impressed at how well Jennie did. She was my favorite going into this and she looks to have a lot of potential. However the only one that I was not too impressed with but still did a good job was Josie. I don't know what it was about her dance. But I just didn't care for it. What is your take on how the women did? Did any of them really impress you at how well they did? Or were you disappointed in any of the preformances? Tonight the men preform. I really don't have a favorite with the men, so I will just have to wait and see how they dance to make my decision of who to vote for. Do you have any favorites out of the men? How do you think it's going to go tonight? Please share your thoughts!

I thought it was funny when Mel and Maks did a little hip-hop too in their cha cha (which of course was already choreographed before the Sabrina comments) and then Maks gave that little sheepish grin. Sabrina knocked my socks off, she was so crisp and energetic. I think she could be a real contender, but who knows how she'll do with the ballroom stuff. I think that her Samba and Mambo should both be awesome. I didn't think that Josie was as bad as the judges seemed to think, but she was definitely the weakest contestant. Second weakest for me was Jennie Garth, which was disappointing because I love her. Marie and Jane both surprised me, particularly Jane who was just delightful in her fox trot. Marie has quite a personality, though. She was a hoot! I'm excited to see the men dance tonight! I don't think Wayne will be good, but he's so popular that I'm sure he'll stick around longer than he should, just like George Hamilton and Jerry Springer. I don't know much about some of the men, but I think that guy from All My Children is adorable. I liked it when he said, "Bring it on Floyd.... NO, DON'T! Please don't hurt me" I just love this show, and I'm so glad it's back!!!!

Glad I'm not the only who saw the humor in Marie. How could anyone NOT see it, right? : )

I thought Sabrina was GREAT! I loved her routine--- Latin dancing is ball room dancing too- I can’t wait to see how she is this upcoming week- I too agreed that Josie was just BAD! It’s Thursday now—so I know she was the one to go home- I was surprised that Cuban was in the bottom 2—Very shocking! Can’t wait to see them all kick it up a notch for next week!

I don't know who will end up leaving of the women on Wednesday night. They were all pretty good for the first week. Sabrina Ryan blew me away! Even without the hip hop moves, she had energy, and charisma that a young age doesn't usually command. I think she'll be in the final three. Jane did much better than some of the older MEN of previous seasons. She was much better than Jerry Springer or George Hamilton who were older. She wasn't just elegant, but technically sound. I was a little disappointed in Jennie, but I think it was because everyone else was so good. Josie wasn't, but she WAS the first model on the show to actually seem like a 'real' person, and I appreciated that. Marie Osmond was hilarious! She won't be around too long, but she is by far the funniest lady up there. I don't have much to say about Melanie, AKA Scary Spice. I like her brashness with her dance partner, but didn't see much in her actual dancing. The woman I think will go the farthes will be Sabrina, but I would be happy to see any of them go as far as possible. Although, Josie will be the first woman to go. As for the men, I look forward to seeing Mark Cuban and Pretty Boy Floyd. Those will be the most entertaining dances I think. : )
