I usually put my body into a squat position, then I slowly move it from center to right , then to the left and -, then right again. I do this as long as I can, this is to power my legs and legs is the most important in crossover. The stronger the legs, the better you can brake and switch direction for an effective crossover

This is going to sound old school, but my Dad had me watch "Pistol Pete" Marovich videos to improve my ball handling. You just have to ignore the cheesy 80's music playing in the background and the John Stockton style shorts he is wearing. One of the drills I used to do was to sit on the edge of a chair in our garage with no lights on and dribble behind my legs (while sitting) for an hour. This helped me to move much quicker with the ball, especially on my crossover.
