Strange library

The library in my collegeis really strange. It isn't friendly anyway. First of all, there's a blockage between all the books and the entrance, where all the autorities sit. And you have to pass through them to get to the books. And it doesn't feels like only, but you really are restricted from getting the books by yourself. You have to give a written request for the book, and will get it after one hour!!! Tell me, how could I request for the book when I can't even check whether I need it or not?
Do you have same system?

Hi, hora_fugit. We don't have that here. It reminds me of an skating rink joint. We can walk down the aisle to check out a book where I live at. I love reading books and I will need to see what I am getting before I check it out. That is a very strange library, I must say.

I tried using it as reading room, but it's sooo strange!!!
Recently it shifted to new buildings. Yet to see how it looks
But for sure, system will remain same even if looks change...

Here in Minnesota USA the Librarys are very open and free. We look at any and all books then check out what we wish. One can even sit in the Library and read all day without checking out a book if you so desire.

My college library is changing its way. But by the time it gets 'convenient' I'll be passed out!
