India won the 20-20 cricket world cup beating pakistan, and i though india played really well to win the cup and the most deserving team to win the cup. But does that mean india is the real world champions of cricket? What do you say?

The World Champions means the team that can almost always beat any other team of the world anywhere and in any format say T-20, 50-50 ODI's or Test Matches... When you will read this, only one name will come to ur mind that is Australia. Isn't it??! Australians are the real champions, they haveproven it since last 8 years. In every format, they have been hard to beaten. Even everybody believe, Australians were favourites to win the inaugural T-20 WC but luckily or unlucily India did win the T-20 WC. The Indians really played well and they also had great amount of luck with them. Both matches against Pakistan would have gone in Pkaistan's way but it was pure good luck for Indians that can manage to win both matches. Against Australia in the semi-final, the Australia's premium batsmen and the captain Ricky Ponting didn't play as he was injured. these happens in the cricket. We can't ignore the hard work and great performances by Indian team.. So, I just have to say the inaugural T-20 WC victory is one of the greatest victories for India after the 1983 WC, but they are far behind to be the World Champions... Its Australia, and they really deserve to be the World Champions...

No indians are not the real world champions of cricket. Aussies at the moment are much more superior side than anyother team in both formats of the game in tests as well as ODI's.They have proved that they are the best for the past 10 years. To become real world champions the indian side has to play good competitive cricket as what the aussies have been doing for over a decade.

Yes it means a lot to Indian cricket. I am sure if we keep up the momentum and find new and exciting players we will be the world champions not only next world cup for the next 10 years we can win. The only thing is that we need to invest in the young cricketers.

Team India is champion of ICC Twenty20 world cup. It does not mean they are champions of ODI and test cricket also. All these tournaments are different.

yes i do believe the same... indians have to prove a lot in the 50-50's and the test matches aswell only then they will become complete champions!

Winning 20-20 make India world champions. If some one think like that then sorry for all of them who are under that illusion. I think the title of World Champions must go to some one who is more consistent. And I don't think Indian team has that capability. They are capable of becoming World Champion but now they they are not.

No of cause not , but they are the real world champions of 20/20 cricket for the first year. Australia are the real world champions of the current one day and test cricket.
