Have you been to your City Zoo? It stinks

The zoo here in San Antonio is ok. I guess as a kid I remember the zoo being this big spectacular place, but now every zoo I've been to as an adult taking my kids is just smelly, hot and boring. Since I've been in the military I've been to a whole lot of city zoo's and all of them are not worth the stomach ache you get from the smell. I grew up in Los Angeles, so maybe the Los Angeles zoo is just far better than other cities who knows. Tell me about your city zoo, i could be wrong.

Sorry about that. Hope that the concerned people will do some actions so that your city zoo will be cleaner and better.
We don't have a city zoo. We are living in the Province of Aklan here in the Philippines. I do hope that we'll have one in the future though. And a clean one.

We don't have a city zoo, but I have been to a couple in Canada. I also have been to Animal Kingdom at Disney World. I was not impressed with the Canadian ones, but Animal Kingdom is a plus! They seem to get top notch care, feedings, and the habitat seems to be pretty close to where they are from. The local zoos, seem cramped, dirty and the people seem to not care.

My city zoo is pretty small, but it and the animals there are quite well taken care of. It's a great place for kids to learn about animals and conservation. They must be pretty successful because they just started construction on an extensive Africa exhibit. :]
