How do you make your self smart?

Do you read books and gather information you want to know in the internet? Or do you always surround yourself with people who are smarter than you? I'd like to try both. But what I do most of the time is read books, watch movies, observe people and surf the internet to be able to become smart. I like the idea of becoming smart, don't you? I have friends who are smarter than me. Sometimes, I feel intimidated by them because they know a lot of stuff than I do. I appreciate it always when they tell me new things and their technical ideas, which may confuse me sometimes but I really try my best to understand everything they tell me. Haha... It just feels good to know that you are smart. :) Good day, everyone.
