How much thought do you put into your new discussions?

Some myLotters really pump out lots of discussions on a daily basis while some only start one now and then. I get my inspiration from different sources, sometimes from what's going on in current events, sometimes from something in my personal life or involving my family. In other words, for me there's no method to my madness, it's whatever spirit moves me. Sometimes I'm feeling playful and other times I'm dead serious. What's your story? Are your discussions planned in advance or do they just come up at the spur of the moment? Annie

I don't have a specific plan when it comes to choosing my topics of discussion, anniepa, I just go with the flow. Sometimes they are triggered by local news events; sometimes I will take a trip down Memory Lane; Sometimes I will discuss things that are family-oriented. As many myLotters could probably attest to, I have a really deep fondness for food and food-related discussions, lol.

Hi again Annie.. Mine are somewhat like yours. Other times I get ideas and I have started to jot them down in a scribbler so I won't forget them. Sometimes it is a current event in life...like the passing of our friends...our Fall...or pickings from our garden. Other times ideas come from something within my philosophical/spiritual musings. So yes, it all depends on what I am feeling and experiencing...or musing. This is a interesting topic to share. Good one.. Take care, Raia

Your discussions are always interesting, too, Raia! You and Cookie (who I just replied to above) and several other of my friends here always have such interesting topics and not always about the same kind of thing...you know what I mean! BTW I'm jealous of your garden! I want one but I guess I don't want the hard work and I really don't have the room. Annie

Actually, I go for days with no thought of a discussion then all of a sudden it's like a faucet goes on and they just pore out of me. When I get like that, I keep a notebook by me to jot them down otherwise I get so many that I forget and then it annoys me. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

My weekend threads are meant to be humorous and a place for me and mylotters to just unwind. We've been having major arguments and posts, and not to mention long weeks of work for a good deal of us, so why not just have a laugh and unwind. For the other threads I put a good deal of thought into them. Many take a lot of effort. In fact, I'm writing sequels to a couple of threads that didn't completely fit on the first try. There are a couple of threads that come up as life events happen.
