I was just wondering what everone thought was the strangest creature, and why. I thought it would be fun to see everyones opinion...whether for some reason or another they think a dog is the strangest...or a monkey! lol. Whatever, please share =P For me, I think Duck Billed Platypus are weird. I did a school report on them in elementary school. And one weird thing I remember about them are they are mammals, yet, they lay eggs!

AND they are the only poisous mammal! I totally agree with you on the platypus. They have the ablity to sense electrical impulses when they are underwater. And they don't have mamulary glands like other mammals, but the babies lick the milk off the fur when it seeps out of mom's milk glands.

I think sea horses are the strangest creatures. I mean how weird is it that the males are the ones that give birth?

I would have o vote for the imitator or mimic octopus which has just recently been discovered. It can look like a flat fish, a snake, a loin fish or just a piece of rock.

Wow! That's really weird. I never heard of them, but probably because they are just recently discovered! Thanks for sharing! =D
