How do you keep up long distance friendships?

I still write letters. I have always loved writing letters but naturally we're all spoiled today with the use of these wonderful computers. Take care my friend.

I have a friend that lives in Michigan as well as my Dad's family up there. Mostly I keep in touch with the phone...thank God for unlimited long distance. I also send letters and cards to my Dad b/c he isn't online...he is totally anti-computer LOL **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Well, before the internet and email were so mainstream, I kept in touch with long distance friends by way of writing letters, occasional phone calls and visits. Now there's email and instant messenger. I still call and send letters, but most of the communication is by email and IM. My best friend's boyfriend is from Colorado, so they come here during the holidays to visit his family and I get to see her every year. Which is nice.

I move here in US for 5 months now. I always communicate with my friends thru smsing using chikka.com and they will reply me on my roaming sim card from Philippines. Or sometimes they will come online and talk to me on YM or sometimes they post their recent pictures to friendster. So thats how i maintain my long distance friendship.
