I just be honest with them. There's no sense in letting them think that you're a horrible person or anything, just let them know it's not working out.

I have only actuallly broken up with 1 person technically. I was so done with the relationship and he was finally showing the attention he should have all along. I went to breakfast with him, we sat down and ordered and I was just like this isn't working out... it was pretty sad because I really hurt him. But hey, I paid the bill.
