The scenario: two men are in love with you. One's the athletic type, handsome, charming, witty but isn't really affectionate. He has a 'certain' way of showing you and letting you know he loves you.
The other one's the geek type who's really romantic and very affectionate. He's a good listener and has a 'somewhat' endearing quality to him that you just can't get enough of.
Who would you choose and why.

i say the *geeky* one
the other one WILL get colder as time goes by! ( personal exper.)
BUT i have to ask is the geeky one OVERLY affectionate!??
IF so then ask him to tone it down nicely of course - that u like him but please dont try SO HARD :) ur there not going anywhere that u know of now ( u cant predict everything) lol

Well,I will consider the second one who is loving,caring cauz to maintain a strong relationship one must understand the feelings of the other & should always respect U and accept u as u r.So,I think the second one has got all these qualities.

I would go for the athletic type; guess what you had described is partly what I would like my bf to be =)
Your statement of 'certain' way of showing his love is what catches my attention. I like guys who are not so predictable and not so affectionate, and a little naughty. I find affectionate and romantic guys boring hahaha. Wit is also important as I love to converse.

cool... looks like we've got the same preferences, carol_m. but i like romantic guys, too, because that's my love language. i know it's kinda coreny but i really like being pampered with those flowers-and-chocolates kind of thing. You mentioned wit... it's a definite plus for me, too! :)

LOL Dreamleaper, let me start by saying - difficult to answer such a question, as I will be replying it while using my brain. Suppose this was happening in real life there would have been feelings involved too, and I would have replied only in such a case, after having expirienced the feelings any one of the two made me feel :)

Can't I just combine the two? See I would pick the first guy because it's those little personal certain things that they do that are the sweetest, and if you're way over romantic and then get married and don't do it anymore the woman gets upset and wonders what happened. I'd pick the other guy, because most of my ex's are all geeks, and because a woman wants to know that her man is romantic and that he listens.
