Why is popcorn considered the "ultimate" movie companion (food)?

why do you think how it came about? what's the history behind popcorn and watching a movie? i will greatly appreciate if someone can enlighten me...

hmmm...ur right...it is the ultimate movie companion in the food category...but as to why, i don't know really...hahaha but i love it too! i love it buttered or with cheese flavor! yum! :-)

Hello there. I guess it's because popcorn is easy to eat? Actually, I am not sure too. I prefer eating nachos while watching movies. =D
