Ok, I am having a major issue with my computer. My mouse has a mind of its own. I click on the little E icon to open up IE and 2 or 3 open up at once. I was working in Lime Wire last night, I would click a file that I wanted to download and it would try adding it to the list 2 or 3 times, producing a window saying Your already downloading this file several times, having to click my way out of many yes or no boxes. I was trying to use my spyware program, I would click scan and then at the same time it would say I aborted the scan, because once you click scan, it replaces that icon with a stop now icon. So it was like I was double clicking and not allowing it to do the first command I gave it. I dont know!! Sigh.... Its just like Im clicking on things more than once, and Im NOT! Grrr its driving me mad. I tried to reset my mouse by unplugging it and changing the settings in the Control Panel, but that is not fixing the problem. Clicking in this text box while Im typing to add a word or delet a word, I put the cursor in where I want it and left click, it will highlight this entire box as if I want to copy and paste. Someone please help me if you can! It would be greatly appreciated! Bay xx

Probably a worm or a very powerful spyware. Try opening your computer in the Safemode. You can scan and do your diagonistic repairs without problem therein. However, if you continue to have problems,l please format your hard disk. it may be the only way.

Thats what I was afraid of Yomistel. I have ran both my AdWare SE and Spybot S&D they produce problems but claim to have fixed them. I finally got the Spybot to run this morning, when last night it wouldnt at all like I was describing. Ill try doing this in the safe mode like you suggested. Thanks so much for your help!! Bay xx

Erm ok.....what is FORMAT? lol Sort of why Im asking for help, Im not really that PC Tech literate here. lol I can turn it on, use its programs, surf the net, use a word processor that kind of thing. So, thanks that you tried to help me, but I have no idea how to FORMAT my pc. Dont think I should try. haha Bay xx

since no one else asked may i are you using a wired mouse or wireless as it could be the batteries too as they do weird things at times when they start to go down hill lol. if its wired i would hazzard a guess and say it is a sticky mouse or the speed is set so fast its like when you hit a key and hold it too long it will repeat itself when typing mmmmmmmmm as such. try to slow the speed of the mouse too... hang in there its just something goofy that computers do at times just to pi$$ you off. Good Luck with the problem if all else fails get another mouse their fairly cheap these days and most people have spares around. myself i went wireless with a microsoft board and mouse and have had bad luck with the first one went through 3 sets of batteries in as may weeks so had it changed on warrenty and have not looked back since that was a year back ( touch wood ) and it now usually tells me when it needs batteries now. haven't needed any yet which reminds me should do it now anyway to be safe myself. lol

it seems very strange ,firstly ,you should change to another good mouse with your computer, and if the mouse still can't work well ,there must be something wrong in your computer ,not you mouse
