How can my teenage son rid himself of his acne?

September 28, 2007 10:43am CST
My son is 16 years old and for the last 2-3 years has had acne. It is not as bad as some I have seen but to him it is awful. He has had days where he won'tgo to school because of it because to him it is just too bad. He has been on anti-biotics but they haven't helped. He has tried no end of creams. He has now found one that is working a little but they still flare up so much every few days. He doesn't have as much confidence as he should have. He is a lovely looking boy but at times he won't go out. He has girls knocking at the door but he talks to them from halfway up the hallway so that they can't see his face properly. Has anyone out there any recommendations? Maybe someone has a natural remedy?

I researched and wrote an article about the benefits of Infrared Heat Therapy and it sounds like your son might benefit from it. The article is at: http://ezinearticles.com/?id=788011 . Basically the infrared rays would penetrate into your son's soft tissue, pulling out the toxins that cause him to break out and fully cleansing his skin. They also cause your son's body to produce collagen, an essential building block for human tissue, which will help his face heal and prevent scarring. There are a long list of benefits to using Infrared Heat Therapy, but having been in your son's shoes myself, I can say the skin clearing aspect is completely worth it.

Thank you very much for your response on the acne discussion. I will read your article and I will get him to try the infrared treatment. Thanks again
