I am having two daughters one is nine years old and the younger one is five years old. I find it difficult to manage two of them and are not planning for a third child. I think it would be good enough for me to take care of the two give them good education and see that they are given ample chance to progress in life.

hi becca! i have 6 of my own. my firstborn is already 20 and working. my 5 younger ones are 12 and under. it's a balance of love, understanding and discipline. when things get chaotic, i have to yell to be heard above all the noise. then again, since i'm a stay-at-home mom, i encourage my kids to open up to me by answering all their questions as best as i can. they also know that they can tell me anything. everytime i get mad, i stay in my room for a few minutes, cool down and get back out. after which, i talk to the child or children concerned and i ask them why they think i got mad. they tell me what they think, and of course, 90% of the time, they're right. this, i think, has made my kids more sensitive to other people's feelings and has made it a lot easier for me to get through to them. i also remind them constantly of being thankful for whatever they have. at the same time, i encourage them to aim for excellence in whatever they do. so, in my case, it's a mix of everything. they are 6 individuals and there's no one way of raising one's brood. oh yes, i pray too. A lot.:)

I have 3 of my own but I also babysit a friends little boy 5 days a week. So sometimes I have 4. Its not too hard to have that many. They fight sometimes. They are all 5 and under. I've considered having a 4th but I'm not sure I could handle or afford 4 teenagers.
