I thought this show was amazing, why was it not so widely known?

I love this show, and i loved watching it so late at night! It was the perfect time to actually have the show run! Do you guys think that is why it wasn't as popularly known as other shows that run during the daytime/early afternoon/early night? Or.. well, what do you think the reason was?

For some reason, when it first ran on the Sci Fi channel, I didn't really like it. I thought the production was cheesy. But, when it came back on air in syndication, I found that I loved it and even went and checked out all the DVDs in the library. It's a great story and they've made it complete at the end. I hear there's going to be some kind of mini-series coming up next year for it.
