scars are disgusting

my sister has a big scar in her left leg. it bugged her for years now. please suggest ways on how to make the scar a little less visible.anyone?aside from concealer pls? or surgery would help?

i also had a big scar on my right leg. i got it when i was riding a motorcycle but now it is gone. i used mantica de cacao and sebo de macho. i do not know what is the english word for these but this is what i used and it totally erased my scar.

i don't think these chemicals can still revived the damaged skin. it's been 23 years since from the accident.
