Boondock Wannabe?

One amazing movie. - This movie would be my bible if it came in book form.

Is it just me or is Dexter a reincarnation of the Boondock brothers? Im a big fan of that movie and of this show. I love it. Its like the Boondock saints only much more indepth and malicious. Does anyone else agree?

Hm, I've heard someone else post that discussion before but I have never seen the Boondock Brothers. Dexter is my favorite show that. Maybe thats a good thing that they brought something so good back to memory!

Not really. The Boondock Saints only kill because they want to extinguish evil. Dexter kill because he is evil, but in a good way.

hmm...maybe you started this discussion during season 1 of Dexter...as of now season 2 has concluded and I have to admit Dexter stands on its own. Boondock Saints never dealt with the ethics of their actions, they just had their prayers n' knew that they were right while Dexter is always fighting with himself on what hes becoming/growing into. Its going to be a cult classic.

i dont really remember well that movie..i remember i disliked it when i saw it. Cant tell if Dexter was inspired by that, the writer of the books has said that the inspiration for that character just came out of a very simple idea, that some bad actions could have a positive effect.

I think there is a big difference. In Boondock Saints it has more to do with religious extreme and in Dexter it acknowledges his mental psychosis. I love both. However I think they take two different approaches to "killing bad guys"...
