What does "SHAWTY" mean??

Hello ! There's an American guy who happens to be a really good friend of mine and he calls me "Shawty" like "wats up shawty"? etc...I am a female,if that should help you guys..It would be great if I can get its accurate meaning..... Thanks! Metalrex www.metalrex-serendipity.blogspot.com

LOL I think he is referring to your height. I have been called SHORTY all my life, I'm only five feet tall

You have been called that too...lol!...but hey you are not the only one short,i am just 5'3'' too,thats not too tall either.But i read at an online forum that SHAWTY does not necessariy mean a short gal,it means "attractive female" who may also be short,its kinda a compliment guys say....but i am not too sure..thanks for responding,check out my other q's too Cheers www.metalrex-serendipity.blogspot.com

Just like recycledgoth, the term "SHawty" can be referred to a person's height.. As for me, I haven't been called shawty since I think my height is above average in my country. I also heard lots of songs or people saying that word.. It is a slang term/word used by people to greet someone. I think it's just similar to : "What's up dawg?" .. lol.. I don't really use those words but I kinda laugh when I hear people use it. I just think it is cute to use "shawty" instead of just saying hi or hello. :) Best of luck to you!
