If your life suddenly were like a horror movie...

Hypothetically speaking of course... If your life suddenly turned into a horror movie, some man was terrorizing your dreams... you were being sold for torture, some crazy man with an machete was trying to kill you, etc... do you think you would survive? I'd like to say that I would because I've watched enough horror movies in my time to know the rules. Don't run up the stairs. Don't turn around while you're running. If there is a psychotic killer around...don't go bang someone in a barn or some random place like that. You know. The things people do in horror movies that get them killed. But I mean, of course you never really know unless you were actually in that situation. However, for all intents and purposes, I'm going to say that I certainly would survive! What about you? Would you be one of the ones dead within the first few minutes of the movie? or would you survive most of the movie but die in the end? or ... would you be one of the few survivors to go on to a sequel? p.s. keep in mind we're talking hypothetical horror movies, not real life horror... don't go getting all serious on me.

no reason to wish luck when it's all hypothetical.

Ha ha. I'm pretty sure you know the answer to mine.:P I would be the person that you really think is going to make it, and then totally do something stupid and get myself killed at the very end. I know all the rules, but like, I just know I would die. I would probably loose my cool at the end. Bah. Not even hardcore enough to see it through. Ha ha, but that's why I'm Joey (ha ha:P). I would probably die in some humiliating way too, like hung up on something in my drawers and my throat slit.

ha ha you watch a lot of T.V. I guess.....!! Well one thing I would like to say that. When the question comes over your "life" then people forget about everything except saving himself from the situation or solving it. In situations like this some people's brain almost stop working and in some people's there brain actaully starts working at this time..!! Thats true, you either become the most efficient person or the most dumbest person. Thats how life tests you. I belive I'll become the most efficient one at these kinds of horror situations..!! And I'll survive. :)

Well that's not necessarily true. There are a lot of situations where people DON'T think about themselves and do try to save someone else risking their own lives. Heck there are jobs like that (ie. fire fighters). But I'm glad you think that you would survive!

I don't watch too many horror movies, but maybe I should start, in order to see what not to do in any typical horror situation. I'd certainly know to run without looking back if some weird girl with hair over her face crawled out of the TV. And not to go down to the basement to check out any strange sounds. Hmm. Or would I? I'd have to know I was in a horror movie, otherwise checking out the basement might seem reasonable. Seems like I'd be one of the first to get killed off.

Ha ha. You should watch them. You never know what you might learn :p But for sure at least you wouldn't do some of the obvious things! I think that there would be some telltale signs you were in a horror movie. There is always a vibe!

well the question isn't what you want to be... it's what you THINK you'd be. So you think you'd be able to survive?

If you ask me, I think I'll be able to survive for another sequel.Like you, I'm very, very fond of horror movies and I think I understand enough how to not get myself killed. I'm with you too regarding the not turning around while being chased by the killer. I mean, who will even want to look back. If it was me, I'll be too busy checking where's the best place to run to.

Ha ha. I never understood why they're always looking behind them for someone. You know they're gonna suddenly appear in fron t of you!

I thought about that, too. And sometimes it just drives me nuts to watch a scene like that. I mean, if it were to happen in real life, a person wouldn't even bother looking back to check if the killer is right behind them. They will be busy instead in finding where's the nearest place where they can get help.

i'd survive, because first i'd take off the damn high heels that say "hey mr.murderer,i'm over here and i can't run fast",i definetly would also go out of my way not to trip while running away screaming LOL

Ha ha. Would you maybe possibly try to stab him with those heels? Though he could cut off your arm with his machette? Not tripping is almost as important as not running into a tree!

I would like to think that after all the horror films I have watched that I would never be that stupid airhead chick that always gets killed but... A friend and I went to see this horror movie a bunch of years ago. The theater is about and hour and a half drive from home in the boonies here and we were driving back. As I was insulting the chick in the movie saying that her scream was so fake and she just stood there like a dummy when a deer jumped out at us which my friend hit with his car. I froze and screamed like a little baby. All these stupid oohs started to pour out of my mouth. All this over Bambi's mom, imagine Michael Myers after me I would probably stand there pee my pants and wait to be killed like the dumb air head chick in horror films.

Ha Ha I know. It's always one thing to watch the movies and know how you'll act. then when you're in a scary situation you never know what to do. I actually was in a scary situation once that I completely forgot about. The very short undetailed version was that my friend and I were at her friends house and his dad thought strangers were in the house. We were in this locked back room sleeping and his father bangs on the door screaming and yelling trying to find out who was back there. My friend was like "Just pretend your sleeping if he comes in" whereas I was like "let's hide! or get the heck out of here!" See there were two ways in the room. one was blocked by tons and tons of storage and the other was the door. He eventually tried to get through the storage so I was like "let's run!" because we could run out the door and outside really fast before he could get us. Fortunately we heard him go back upstairs and that's when we bolted. Personally I think running was the smarter choice than staying and pretending to sleep!

That always happens in my dream, some terific scenes, and i was among them.As what you describe:I was being sold for torture, some mad persons were running after me and attemped to kill me with a chopper,......I often watch those horrow movies too, though i am bold enough,I am still fear that the terrific scenes appear. If appear, what shall i do? I think ,a talent with clever and calm head may survive in the situation you describe. But I am not calm enough, even very impetuous,I think I will be a victim.Heartily,I expect that such a situation appears,it is amazing enough, haha.

So you don't think you'd survive? Do you survive in your dreams? I think you're definitely right about keeping a calm head though. Staying calm is what gets you through any situation really.
