More and more accidents are happening because people pay less attention on the roads while driving and more on their talk on the phone. I think it should be absolutely banned to talk on the phone while driving and strict punishment imposed for those breaking this rule.

Are you kidding???? It absolutely should be illegal to talk on the phone while driving except in the case of real emergency, and even then it should be required to pull of the road if at all possible! I drive a standard 5-speed car so I can't talk on the phone while driving even if I wanted to but I wouldn't anyway. There are some other things people also shouldn't do while driving such as putting on make-up and shaving...yes, I've actually seen men shaving while driving on the interstate and that's ridiculous. We can never know how many accidents are caused by this type of careless and unnecessary behavior but I'm sure it's a high number. Annie

No, it is not safe to talk on the phone or do anything else but drive when you are driving. People do all kinds of dumb things when they are driving and that is why there are so many accidents. I think that people should have to pass a common sense test before recieving their license.

I agree with you, it is unsafe to drive while talking to somebody over the phone. Driving needs concentration in order to be safe. When you need to make a call, you should pull over, stop and then make a call.

well,i've heard lots of cases caused by the calling driver.so i agree with you.also when i take a taxi ,if the driver calls ,i will get off.
