I was not so active the past weeks/ days in myLot because I had been busy with rush work in office and then I went for a 2 weeks vacation in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia to be with my hubby. I was a plain housewife for 2 weeks, but I enjoyed it much, going to some places (museums, parks, beach, restaurants), strolling the Kuching waterfront and at the malls So missed the friends and the discussions here in myLot. Anyway, I'm back and hope to respond to some of the discussions here. Have you also been not so active in myLot lately, what's the reason? Have you been to Malaysia, particularly to some places in Sarawak like Kuching? How was it?

Hi Sugar... Good to know that you are from Malaysia. Nope..my hubby is not Malaysian, he is just working there in Kuching for more than 3 years now. He is working with the DUN Project in Kuching. He also worked with a construction firm when the UNIMAS was being contructed. Some years ago he worked also under a different firm when the KL International airport was being constructed. Kuching is a nice place to stay... clean and quiet. My hubby toured me to some places in Kuching like Satok, Batu Kawah, Kota Samarahan and UNIMAS, Tabuan Jaya, Petanak, Padungan, Taman Sahabat, etc. We went to the beach near Damai Beach, then we went to the Cat museum in the afternoon. We also visited the Sarawak Museum, Civic Centre, Amphitheater. We went to shopping malls like Hoc Lee, Sarawak Plaza, Pakson Dept Store at Crown Plaza, Saberkas, BDC, Satok, etc. We ate at some chinese restaurants and also at the Top Spot seafood center; I also tried nasi ayam at Satok. I can say that my travel to Kuching was very pleasant, foremost because I was with my hubby alone even just for 2 weeks... we're like honeymooners! Thanks for sharing here. Hope you'll graduate soon.

It sounds like you had a great time with your hubby sweetheart! I am glad that you had such a nice vacation. I haven't been on mylot as much for a while but that is due to my health and the amount of medication that I am on - it leaves me feeling very tired and spaced out and I get so easily confused that I just haven't got the energy or focus to be here as much as I used to or would like to! xxx

Yeah....joyce, I'd been to the waterfront Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. The one thing that made me really unforgettable is its "IKAN TERBUK BAKAR". Delicious and very cheap, I took it back to Kuala Lumpur, MYR10($3USD) for three fishes. I know, Kuching mean 'CAT'.

Yes, they said that Kuching means 'Cat'. I wonder why they called it the 'Cat city' when I had only seen 2 alive cats in my 2 weeks stay there, except of course the many display of Cat pictures and features at the Cat Museum. I had not tried that kind of fish "Ikan Terbuk Bakar'. Maybe when I go back there next time, I will ask my hubby to buy some. Appreciated your sharing here.
