Hi friends, has anyone of you tried travelling by Airasia? Or any other low fare airlines? I went to Malaysia last Sept. 19 to October 2. From Clark (Phil) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) my fare is only PhP 999 (one way) for a 3hrs and 50 minutes flight and for roundtrip fare it's PhP 1,998. With the addition of fuel surcharge, airport taxes and admin fees, the total fare is PhP 5,123 for Clark to KL (roundtrip). Then my fare from KL to Kuching City, Sarawak is 59.99 MYR (one way)which is more or less equivalent to PhP779 for a 1 hr 45 minutes flight. Round trip fare with the addition of fuel surcharge and taxes is 256.98 MYR which is more or less PhP 3,340. But food is not included in the fare, you can purchase some food on board though. The airasia airbus is clean and the crew are nice. Low fares especially if you book earlier. Good for those who likes to travel but who are budget concious. What about you, have you tried any other lowfare airlines? How was it? Please do share your experience here.

That's great...so how was your trip with Airasia? No bumpy rides? We also went to Kuala Lumpur last Sept. 22-30 aboard Cebu Pacific back and forth...my, I don't know if it's the airline or simply the weather, but we experienced lots of scaring air pockets--our travel to and from Manila-Kuala Lumpur was almost 4 hours and even experienced delay for almost 3 hours while in Kuala Lumpur...it's the same airline we took back to our city, and it was even worst. We thought the worst could have already happen to us as the plane rocked up and down, sideways almost all the time, to our dismay. Our trip was never pleasant. But please share your experience. I'm glad that there's another low fare airline that my husband and son can take in case they will decide to tour Malaysia and Singapore. But definitely, I don't advice Cebu Pacific based on my personal experience.

Hi there psyche49f. My trip from Clark to KL last Sept 19 was a mix of plain and bumpy rides. It was raining hard when I left my place and there was news of typhoon, so expectedly when the plane took off we experienced some ups and downs but nearing KL it was already smooth sailing. My trip back to KL from Kuching on Oct 1 was smooth. My return flight from KL to Clark was somewhat smooth but as we near Clark for landing, it's somewhat bumby, going up and down because of the weather. It was raining hard in Metro Manila. Its good that the flight sched from Clark-KL and back was on time, except for the Kuching-KL flight which was delayed for about 30minutes. I had flewn with Cebu Pacific when I went to Cebu for a seminar. My trip with Cebu Pacific that time was a little bumpy. I guess the weather contributes or has effects on how the airlines fly. Yes, you can try airasia next time. They sais you can avail low fares if you book earlier. I guess Tiger airways also offer low fares if you and your family want to go to Singapore, but I have never flown yet with Tiger airways, so I can't tell if its worth flying. Anyway, hope your other next flights would be smooth sailing. Thanks for sharing your experience.

But even these Airlines' fares are increasing due to Additional Taxes and Aviation Fuel Surcharges.
