Do you understand the word "breakthrough"? Please explain it for me!

When you have an impossible problem with no solution to resolve it... and suddenly you find the answer to resolve it... it is called a "breakthrough". Because you broke through the problem. You did find the door of the problem in order to fix it.

ah, I see. I must find some material for my project in class, and my subject is "breakthrough". I got in stuck because I don't understand it. Now, It's better. Thanks!
